SIX Nations Rugby Limited rescheduled 2021 Women’s Six Nations Championships to April this year.
The announcement came following the recommendation of a working group specifically tasked to examine various rescheduling options after the decision was taken on January 12th to postpone both championships due to the ongoing challenges presented by COVID-19.
Starting on the weekend of 3rd/4th April and finishing on 24th April, this year’s Women’s Championship saw a new and condensed format similar to that of the recent Autumn Nations Cup, culminating in a grand final weekend to crown the Six Nations Champions 2021. The format comprised of two pools of three teams with each team playing one home and one away fixture. Once the pool round matches were complete, teams faced off against the opposing ranked team from the other pool in the play-offs matches.
France and England will also played a Women's Six Nations exhibition game as part of the series, with the two meeting at Villeneuve d'Ascq on Friday, 30 April.

OWING to COVID-19, the 2021 Under-20 Six Nations Championship was rescheduled to be played in the summer between 19th June and 13th July in Cardiff.
The decision to hold the Championship in one venue was taken to reduce the risk around travel, to ensure greater rest periods and structured training and therefore meet many of the performance opportunities lost in recent times.
Matchday squads consist of 26 players due to the condensed format of the competition and all five matchdays feature three matches played consecutively.
Every match is being broadcast in Six Nations territories either on terrestrial TV, broadcaster streaming platforms or via Six Nations digital channels.
Scotland and Ireland get the Championship underway on 19th June, followed by England v France and Wales v Italy on the same day.
There was no winner of the 2020 Under-20s Championship. 2019 Champions Ireland had already secured a Triple Crown thanks to wins over Scotland, Wales and England and were vying for a repeat Grand Slam. Every other team had secured at least one win before the 2020 Championship had to be called to a halt due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The 2021 edition concluded on 13th July with England v Italy, Ireland v France and Scotland v Wales, England Rugby securing not just the championship but the the Grand Slam for 2021.
